## Every AI model has a training cutoff. USCIS does not.

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and every model behind an immigration AI tool were trained months before today. Since then the rule for Form I-765 and Form I-539 editions changed twice. On 2026-08-14 USCIS said it would reject older editions from 2026-09-15. On 2026-09-14 a federal court postponed the rule behind the new editions (Presidents' Alliance v. DHS, 26-cv-13799, D. Mass.). On 2026-10-14 USCIS still accepted the older editions and not the 09/15/26 edition. The Visa Bulletin and processing times change every month.

An answer from memory can be stale, and the model may not say so. A filing on an edition USCIS does not accept is rejected. ImmigrationLayer gives the model the current answer instead: structured, dated, cited, and the same every time.

## What it covers

Fee results depend on the Form G-1055 entries available for those forms. Processing-time coverage depends on manually loaded rows and can differ.

- USCIS form editions for I-765, I-539, I-485, I-130, N-400, I-129, I-140, I-90, and I-131.
- USCIS filing fees from Form G-1055.
- Processing times.
- The monthly Visa Bulletin, Diversity Visa lottery cutoffs, and Visa Bulletin notes.
- USCIS alerts and Federal Register notices.

## Every answer is checkable

Every answer that returns data carries the date it was true as of, the source URL, and a content hash, so the filer can check the source it cites.

## Who it is for

Immigration attorneys and paralegals at solo and small firms who track form editions, fees, and visa dates by hand. It works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, and any client that speaks MCP.

## Free and paid

Form editions, form changes, Diversity Visa cutoffs, and Visa Bulletin notes are free with no sign-in. Fees, processing times, Visa Bulletin dates, and alerts need a plan.

## Not legal advice

ImmigrationLayer publishes government data. The practitioner decides. The tools do not store case data.
