Zentered Studios is a software company in Boulder, Colorado. We run Roadbook, GitMorning, and mcpsignals on agent pipelines we built ourselves, and we build the same pipelines, MCP servers, and AI-native products for other teams.
Services
Four lines of work. The first three run in our own products before we sell them, which is why we can tell you what holds up in production and what only demos well.
Agents do the implementation work: a spec when the change is substantial, a plan, code in an isolated git worktree, review from several angles, then a verification pass that runs the product in a real browser before anything is called done. This is how Roadbook ships every week. We build your product the same way, or we build the first slice and hand you the pipeline.
Your repeating workflows encoded as Claude Code commands with their own agent teams: product review, bug triage, backlog preparation, spec to merge, post-merge regression checks. The commands, skills, and runbook land in your repository. You own them, you can read them, and they get better every time you run them.
MCP is an integration layer, not a wrapper for commands you could already run. With no server yet, we design the tool surface and schemas and build it. Already live, we instrument it with mcpsignals, collect about two weeks of real agent traffic, and report which tools agents misuse, which descriptions and schemas mislead them, and which capabilities they keep reaching for that you do not offer. The engagement includes the rewrites, not only the findings.
A scoped engagement on where agents pay off in your codebase and where they do not yet. Architecture and tool surface review, model and tooling choice, cost per session, evaluation, and a straight answer on which work should stay human.
Tell us what you are building, what is slow about it today, and the deadline you are working against. You get a scope and a fixed price back, or an honest note that this is not work we should take.
hello@zentered-studios.comIn Production
We build our own products with the pipelines we sell. They are the reference implementation, not a portfolio.
Roadbook is an EV road trip planner for the US, Canada, and Mexico. It surfaces chargers, campgrounds, and national & state parks along your route - built for planning the trip, not navigating it.
GitMorning observes your GitHub activity and generates standups automatically. Observed, not reported. Continuous, not ceremonial, and built for AI-era development.
mcpsignals is a drop-in library for Node and Python that records how AI agents actually use your MCP server - tool calls, errors, latency, and the agent's stated intent - into a database you already own. No account, no hosted service, no per-session pricing.
Response size costs as much as call count. A single bloated tool response can burn through a user's entire session budget while the server works exactly as intended. mcpsignals tracks payload size per tool, so oversized responses are visible before they cost you users.
Pairs naturally with OpenAPI-to-MCP generators like FastMCP, Speakeasy, Stainless, and Gram - they turn your API surface into tools, mcpsignals shows you which of those tools agents actually use.

About Us
Zentered Studios LLC is an independent software company in Boulder, Colorado, run by Patrick Heneise. We ship our own products and take a small number of client engagements at a time.
Every product starts with a real problem, and every service we sell runs in our own codebase first. We stay small so the person you talk to is the person doing the work.
